Biography
D. Steve Boland is the Consumer Lending Executive for Bank of America, responsible for Global Wealth & Investment Management Real Estate, Home Loans and Consumer Vehicle Lending representing $100B in annual originations and $250B Consumer Balance Sheet.
Boland previously served as the Home Loans Fulfillment and Underwriting executive, where he led his teams to achieve new and significant heights in operational excellence, client satisfaction as well as organizational effectiveness and efficiency. As National Mortgage Outreach executive, he directed the bank’s efforts to establish a greater presence in the community and increase face-to-face interactions between homeowners in need of mortgage assistance and bank representatives during a critical time in the financial crisis.
Boland has also served as head of Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) Mortgage Solutions Group, accountable for mortgage strategy, product development, pricing, risk management as well as end-to-end product delivery and servicing for Bank of America’s affluent clients. He also fostered and strengthened critical partnerships across GWIM, U.S. Trust, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America Home Loans. His financial services career began in 1990 in Florida at NCNB, a predecessor of Bank of America. Boland currently represents Bank of America as a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Directors and Residential Board of Governors. He has served on the boards of numerous housing-related nonprofit organizations, as well as on the Board of Trustees of The Chandler School in Pasadena, CA.
